Blake is originally from Owensboro, Kentucky, and has been heavily involved in the marching arts since 2008. In 2013, he performed with Music City Drum and Bugle Corps from Nashville, Tennessee. He went on to perform with Spirit of Atlanta in 2014 and 2015, serving as section leader during his final season.
Beyond his performing career, Blake has had the privilege of serving as a designer, educator, and clinician for both indoor and outdoor ensembles across the country. Those groups have earned State Championships, State Finalist placements, BOA Regional and Super Regional Class Championships, BOA Grand National Finalist placements, and WGI Regional and World Championship Finalist placements. He has worked with groups such as Vista Ridge High School, Round Rock High School, McNeil High School, Murray High School, Reeths-Puffer High School, Westwood High School, Rhythmic Force Percussion, and many more. He has also served on the visual staff at Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps in 2016, Music City Drum and Bugle Corps in 2017 & 2018, and, most recently, Spirit of Atlanta in 2019.
Blake attended Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, where he studied Graphic Design and Advertising. He currently lives in Austin, Texas, with his dog, Nia, and teaches at Vista Ridge High School and Rhythmic Force Percussion.
